Becoming Catholic and Confirmation for baptized Catholics (adult)

Each year thousands of people become Catholic through the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA). Those included are unbaptized adults who wish to receive the sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation. It also includes adults baptized in Protestant denominations or in the Orthodox Church who wish to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church.

The OCIA program is also for baptized Catholics who have not received all of the sacraments of initiation. The program prepares them for Confirmation and, if they have not been previously prepared to receive the Eucharist, for their first reception of the Eucharist.
